Electronic Prescriptions (E-Prescriptions)
Our general practitioners (GPs) provide digital prescriptions and medical certificates following a telemedicine consultation. Prescriptions are then securely and promptly delivered to you via the SOS Tourist Doctor mobile application, free of charge.
How our E-prescription works?
1. Consultation and Assessment
Register or log in to your SOS Tourist Doctor account to schedule a telemedicine appointment. During your consultation, discuss your symptoms or concerns with a licensed general practitioner (GP). If medically appropriate, your GP will electronically prescribe the required medication.
2. E-Prescription Delivery
Upon completion of your consultation, your digital prescription will be securely transmitted directly to you via the SOS Tourist Doctor App.
3.Medication Collection
Proceed to your preferred pharmacy to retrieve and purchase your prescribed medication.
What can i expect from an E-prescription?
Time Efficiency
Electronic prescriptions eliminate the need for physical paperwork. After your consultation, you can proceed directly to your designated pharmacy to collect your medication.

Thanks to electronic documentation, submitting a claim to your medical insurance is easy and efficient.

Your electronic prescription is securely accessible only to your SOS Tourist Doctor general practitioner (GP) and your chosen pharmacy. Rest assured, e-prescriptions maintain the same high level of security as traditional paper prescriptions.
There are a few things we can’t help with:
- Controlled drug prescriptions, which encompass a range of treatments including strong pain relief, anxiety, depression and sleep medications
- Neurological defects or seizures
- Severe chest pain or suspected heart attack
- Severe sudden onset of pain
- Pregnancy-related complications
- Dental treatments or advice
- Emergency care
- Suspected Stroke
